ABOUT MY DIGITAL LIFE FOUNDER,

MARK SPENCER

MDL founder Mark Spencer brings over thirty years of information technology experience to his company. After serving as an engineer in the Pacific fleet of the United State Navy, Mark attended Southern Oregon University and graduated with a degree in Business and Economics. In 1985, he began work as a systems consultant on the SUN/UNIX platform. He also gained hands-on experience with the newly introduced IBM PCs and Windows DOS platforms, and by 1987, was working on integrating new IBM PCs into workgroup environments.

By the time that Windows 3.1 was released in 1992, Mark was a certified NetWare Consultant and was installing Local Area Networks for countless small businesses. In 1995, Mark became a consultant for GE Capital in San Francisco, California, managing large-scale system migrations from UNIX to Microsoft’s SQL Server system. During his time at GE, Mark traveled all around the US, and eventually settled in Portland when GE Capital moved it’s offices to Chicago in 2001.

My Digital Life was founded shortly after, and has proudly supported a variety of businesses in the greater Portland area.
